Peacemaking for Educators: a TREE program for teachers

In this virtual program, educators will explore and practice tools to build peacemaking practices to bring into personal and professional environments. This program has been designed by educators and peace practitioners with anti-racist and trauma-informed frameworks. This 4-week program is suitable for educators working with children and youth in classroom and/or community spaces.

Program Details
Cost: $175 + HST per teacher; Group rate of $2500 + HST for a group of up to 30 teachers from the same school.

What to Expect
Each session will include interactive learning, breakout groups, and group discussion.
Slides, workbook activities, and additional resources will be shared in a Google Drive folder.
In the event that a participant is unable to attend a session, the session will be recorded and shared with the group.

Program Outline
Week 1 – Foundations of Conflict: Exploring where conflict builds and our own styles of conflict.
Week 2 – Perspectives and Language: Exploring how curiosity and nonviolent communication can transform interpersonal conflicts with colleagues and students.
Week 3 – Conflict Models: Exploring different strategies to understand and respond to conflicts in educational settings.
Week 4 – Courageous Conversations: Exploring strategies for navigating challenging conversations.
